Abstract

|
The incidence of the rupture of the diaphragm following blunt trauma to the chest or abdomen is recently increasing due to high-velocity injuries by modern automobiles.
A case of rupture of the diaphragm due to automobile accident in 31-year-old man(printer) was experienced at the Seoul Red Cross Hospital. He had been associated with several injuries which were multiple rib fractures, laceration of the spleen, and dissection of left kidney pedicle. And the dissected kidney was displaced to the apex of left lung.
